About David Hei, MD
David L. Hei, MD, is a board-certified Internist coming to Brevard from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, division of Hematology/Oncology and the South Park Carbone Cancer Center, in Madison, Wisconsin. He completed his Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the University of Florida Department of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, where he received the Outstanding Fellow Teaching Award. Dr. Hei completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Florida Department of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida, where he received the Outstanding Clinical Senior Resident Award. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, with distinction, at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. Dr. Hei is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Wisconsin. He has received many awards, including the Patient Experience Physical Champion Award, University of Wisconsin Health in 2014, 2015 and 2017. In 2018, Dr. Hei was a Regional Services Physical Excellent Award Nominee.
