About Rajiv Bhambri, MD

Dr. Bhambri is board certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism as well as Internal Medicine. He attended school in the Himalayan Mountains in India and obtained his medical degree from Delhi University. He trained in Internal Medicine at State University of New York in Brooklyn and subsequently completed a fellowship in Endocrinology at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in New Brunswick. Before moving to Brevard County in 2004, Dr. Bhambri practiced at Indraprastha Apolla Hospital in New Delhi. He has published papers, authored a chapter for a textbox on diabetes and has presented abstracts at national endocrinology meetings. Dr. Bhambri is an Endocrinologist and sees only adult patients with endocrine conditions including diabetes, osteoporosis, disorders involving the adrenal, pituitary, testes, thyroid, and parathyroid glands, lipid disorders, hypertension and other endocrine conditions. Dr. Bhambri is the first physician in Brevard county to earn the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ENCU). He performs on-site real-time thyroid and neck ultrasounds as well as thyroid biopsies, including molecular genetic testing on thyroid biopsies, most at the same time as the office visit, which saves time and the need to travel to another radiology facility. The office has diabetic and nutritional education classes available for patients. Dr. Bhambri's nurse practitioner works closely with him to provide additional support to patients when needed. Dr. Bhambri's hobbies include, hiking, playing soccer, photography, underwater photography, scuba diving and reading.
