The Christmas House
The Christmas House is a pop up gift and decor market that opens for 6+ weeks in November and December. This seasonal shop offers locally hand crafted gifts and decor for fall, Christmas, every day and more. Started 30 years ago by a group of crafting ladies in the Eustis area, it has popped up each season wherever a storefront was available. In 1996 the Christmas House moved to the Leesburg area with the help of the Leesburg Partnership that sponsored the event for many years in conjunction with a crafter organizing committee. Since 2023 the Christmas House has been sponsored by Central Florida Crafters, Inc. a not for profit group that was created and is directly led by a group of the crafters. Each year our loyal customers keep coming back and finding us wherever we pop up each season to check out what new items theyΓ’ΒΒll be adding to their holiday traditions. The 6+ week pop up shop offers crafters a seasonal selling option for their handmade items without having to setup and break down displays each show. Crafters and the shop work together in this cooperative store setting to provide local creations to the Leesburg/Villages area. As part of the unique setup the store displays are boutique style with items gathered in themes and colors around the store rather than as individual crafter booths. Fixtures and displays are provided by the shop and refreshed throughout the pop up to maximize interest in all crafter creations. All merchandise is purchased through a central store register and tracked through individual merchandise tags for the vendors with sales payout at the end of the season. Vendors will need to cooperatively work shifts in the store over the course of the 6+ weeks to help sell their items and other vendor offerings to customers. A vendor commission from sales will be collected out of your sales total at the end of the season to cover the operating costs of the not for profit Central Florida Crafters, Inc. - these cover items like rent, insurance, credit card fees and register rental, event marketing, and other overhead costs to start the shop each season. Vendor Applications will be reviewed quarterly and approved vendors will be contacted with further details on the application process and CH details. All Dates are tentative until Sept 1.
