Luan Tran, MD, FACS

Luan Tran, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon with Premier Surgical, affiliated with Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center, in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Dr. Tran earned his Doctor of Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed his residency with Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, where he was awarded Trauma Resident of the Year. In addition, he earned a Master’s of Public Health from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. Prior to his graduate education, he received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Tran is a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving as general surgeon for the 51st Medical Group at Osan Air Base in Republic of Korea and the 88th Medical Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Dr. Tran is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He treats common surgical conditions such as diseases of the gallbladder, appendix, and hernias. He also treats a broad range of diseases of the digestive tract and breast. He has expertise in endoscopic, advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgical techniques. Dr. Tran also served as assistant professor of Surgery at Wright State University School of Medicine for over a decade. In addition, he is fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS). Dr. Tran welcomes new patients and referrals.
