Carlos R. Berríos Rosado, MD, is a board-certified neurologist who came to Health First from a five-year solo medical practice in Ponce, Puerto Rico. He offered consultative services in the area of neurology to local hospitals, such as Hospital Metro Pavia in Ponce, Puerto Rico and Hospital Damas in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Dr. Berríos also participated as educator in Neurology for the Internal Medicine Residency Program as Attending Physician at San Lucas Hospital in Ponce, Puerto Rico and completed a categorical internship in Neurology from the University District Hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He graduated officer indoctrination school at Newport Rhode Island and served as Lieutenant at Naval Medical Center in San Diego, California. He completed another internship at Hospital Auxilio Mutuo in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He earned his Medical Degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Dr. Berríos earned his Bachelor of General Science, Magna Cum Laude, from Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Dr. Berríos is licensed to practice medicine in Florida. He is Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certified. Dr. Berríos is also NIH Stroke Scale Certified. He has experience in reading EEG and Carotid/TCA in clinic and inpatient settings.
