Damani Hosey, MD
Damani A. Hosey, MD, is a board-certified Family Practitioner. He served his Family Practice Residency at Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Dr. Hosey completed his undergraduate, graduate and medical school degrees at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Dr. Hosey is licensed to practice medicine in Florida. He received recognition in 2011 for the delivery of Quality Diabetes Care by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). The same year, he received recognition for providing excellent care to persons with cardiovascular disease or stroke from NCQA’s Heart/Stroke Recognition Program. Dr. Hosey enjoys biking, traveling, hiking, reading and current events. He is an avid fan of University of Michigan athletics.
David J. Weldon Jr, MD
Dr. Weldon is a Board Certified Internist who sees patients at the Health First Medical Group offices at 730 Malabar Road His office number is 321 409-6800 Ext. 3541. His interests include the management of hypertension, elevated cholesterol, diabetes, arthritis, cancer screening, preventive care and general illnesses of the elderly. He first came to Brevard in 1987 after serving 6 years as a physician in the United States Army. Originally from New York, Dr Weldon obtained his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and his medical degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. Dr. Weldon received recognition in 2011 and in October 2013 for the Delivery of Quality Diabetes Care by NCQA (the National Committee for Quality Assurance). That same year he received recognition for providing excellent care to persons with cardiovascular disease or stroke from NCQA's Heart/Stroke recognition program. Dr. Weldon was elected to the US House of Representatives for Florida's District 15 where he served for 14 years. During that time he continued to see patients part time at the Veterans clinic in Melbourne. He serves on several charity boards involved in supporting the nation's space program. He has been married to his wife, Nancy, for 30 over years and has two children, Katie and David.
